No experience is required for beginner classes—just an open mind and a positive attitude!
This is a 1 hour class guided by an experienced aerial arts instructor.
After selecting an apparatus (Aerial Silks, Lyra, Rope, or Sling), each beginner class is designed to guide participants of all fitness levels through the basics of aerial theory, climbing techniques, conditioning exercises, and fundamental poses. As students build strength and master the fundamentals of the apparatus, they will progress to inversions and more advanced skills. Defy gravity in this exhilarating class that will engage and strengthen every muscle in your body!
Training begins at the beginner level to develop strength, confidence, and flexibility. As students progress, their instructor will provide new challenges and recommend when to move to the next level. Since every student is different, there is no fixed timeline for advancing. For safety, we may ask students to remain at a particular level longer if necessary. Instructors will focus on improving conditioning and control at every class level.
When the students complete the beginner curriculum that is required to progress into the leveled classes, they will learn more intricate skills, drops, wraps and combinations. The classes will include more advanced strengthening exercises so that students can safely continue to improve on their flexibility and endurance.

*Prerequisite required: For levels above beginner, students must have successfully completed a 10-week beginner aerial class at FlyNash and received instructor approval to advance. Alternatively, experienced students may book a private 15-20 minute skill assessment for $20. Students should be prepared to do their own warm-up prior to the assessment.
